The Doors of Success

“The doors of success have been closed upon the creation because of six things:

Their busying themselves with the blessings of Allah instead of thanking Allah for them,

their desire for knowledge while they abandon actions,

the hastiness to sin and delaying repentance,

the deception of having righteous companions and not taking them as examples,

the turning away of the dunya from them while they chase it,

and the approach of the afterlife towards them while they turn away from it.”- al-Fawaa’id by Ibn al Qayyim

White Days

I want to remind myself and all of you to fast the three white days. It is a SUNNAH and rewarded as fasting the whole life as mentioned in Hadith Sahih.

The 3 white days are the 13, 14, and 15 of each hijri islamic (lunar) month.

These days are called three white days (ayyam beed) because the full moon shines at their nights.
Scholars explained how fasting these days is as if fasting the whole life by saying that,
The good deed (hassanat) is rewarded 10 times its value
So if any one fasts those 3 days then it will be as fasting (3*10 = 30 days = 1 month), and if he keep doing that every month it will be as fasting the whole life.

- Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “My close friend [i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will never give up until I die: fasting three days each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after praying Witr.” (al-Bukhaari, 1178; Muslim, 721).

- Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “My close friend [i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will never give up until I die: fasting three days each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after praying Witr.” (al-Bukhaari, 1178; Muslim, 721).

“Whoever fasts a day seeking the pleasure of Allaah and then dies [i.e. that is the last thing he does] will enter Paradise.” (Reported by Ahmad, 5/391; see also Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/412)
“The prayer (du’aa’) of the fasting person will not be refused.” (Reported by al-Bayhaqi, 3/345; see also al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1797)[/b]

Trials Are a Medicine

“Were it not that Allah treats His slaves with the remedy of trials and calamities, they would transgress and overstep the mark. When Allah wills good for His slaves, He gives him the medicine of calamities and trials according to his situation, so as to cure him from all fatal illnesses and diseases, until He purifies and cleanses him, and then makes him qualified for the most honorable position in this world, which is that of being a true slave of Allah (‘ubudiyyah), and for the greatest reward in the Hereafter, which is that of seeing Him and being close to Him.- Ibn Qayyim al Jawzziyah

The Biggest Blessing

To love Allah, to know Him intimately, to remember Him constantly, to find peace and rest in Him, to make Him alone the (ultimate) object of love, fear, hope and trust; to base one's act on His control of His servant's cares, aspirations and will - such is the world's Heaven, and such is a blessing with which no other blessing can compare - Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah

I Love Fasting

Because Our beloved Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: “No servant fasts a day for the sake of Allah except that Allah removes the hellfire seventy years away from his face.” (Muslim)

Abu Umamah said: “I came to the Messenger of Allah (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) and said: ‘Order me to do a deed that will allow me to enter Paradise.’ He said: ‘Stick to fasting, as there is no equivalent to it.‘ Then I came to him again and he said: ‘Stick to fasting.”‘ (an-Nasa’ee--saheeh)

The Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) used to love to fast, especially on Mondays and Thursdays. When asked why he does that, he (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said:

“Those are two days on which people’s deeds are shown to the Lord of the Worlds, and I want my deeds to be shown to Him when I am fasting.” (al-Nasaa’i, Ibn Maajah, Ahmad-- saheeh by al-Albaani)

Al-Fudayl ibn ‘Ayaad said: “If you cannot pray qiyaam al-layl, or fast during the day, know that you are indeed deprived and restricted, chained by your sins.”

To Enter Paradise

Ali ibn Abi Talib said: "Whoever has the following six characteristics does all that is required to make him enter Paradise and avoid Hell:

- to know Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala and obey him,

- to know Satan and disobey him,

- to know the truth and follow it,

- to know the falsehood and avoid it,

- to know the life of this world and renounce it,

- and to know the Hereafter and seek it."
