Charity

Narrated Buraidah al-Aslami (r.a.) that the Prophet (s.a.w.) said: Anything that man takes out as charity, emancipates him from the 'Hayy' of seventy Shayateen.- Silsilah al-Sahihah

Hayy has been used metaphorically for whispers. Charity is done to seek the countenace i.e. the pleasure of Allah. While the shayateen want to prevent man from reaching this high status and they continuously stop him from giving charity. Wealth is beloved to the soul but when it is given in the way of Allah it becomes a source of repelling them all. This is the strongest proof of man's honesty, true intention, and sincerity.

  4. The prophet (PBUH) was once asked about the best of all charities, so he said;

    'The best charity is what you give during your life while you are in need of it.'
