Acquire knowledge

Acquire knowledge, it enables its seeker to distinguish right from wrong and it lights up his way to heaven. It is his friend in the desert, his company in solitude and his companion when friendless. It guides him to happiness and sustains him in misery. It is an ornament amongst friends and an armour against enemies

  2. Probably we are talking about the religious knowledge here, yes offcourse it is a must but the word "knowledge" or "ilm" is mostly misinterpreted in our society and emphasis is always given to the worldly knowledge.

  3. “There is no good in seeking to gain more knowledge, without having acted upon what you have already learnt, for the example of this person is that of one who gathers firewood and then ties them ready to carry. Yet once finding himself unable to do so, adds another to the bundle.” by al-Khateeb al-Baghdaadee

Firstly: Asking questions in a good manner.
Secondly: Remaining quiet and listening attentively.
    Thirdly: Understanding well.
    Fourthly: Memorising.
    Fifthly Teaching.
Sixthly- and it is its fruit: Acting upon the knowledge and keeping to its limits."

I think "Teaching" should come last, after you have started acting upon the acquired knowledge.
