Envied?
"I have never envied anyone over anything: if a person is going to be in the Fire, how could I envy him over some worldly matter when he is destined for the Fire?! And if he is going to Paradise, how could I be envious of a man of Paradise with whom Allah tabaraka wa ta’ala is pleased?!- Muhammad ibn Sireen

Imam Al-Ghazali, may Allah have mercy on him, said in his book (Al-Ihya')
ReplyDeleteBe aware that envy is one of the most dangerous diseases of the hearts, and there is no medicine for the diseases of the heart except with knowledge and deeds.
I use to think why envy is so condemned and such a horrible punishment... WHEN I MYSELF EXPERIENCED IT I REALIZED THAT NOTHING REMAINS ON MIND EXCEPT.. one thought and ALHAMDOLILLAH i am able to curb it only with one thing my knowledge of my religion and the fact that noone remains content with what he owns.Real contentment comes when you start enjoying your own world your own blessings... just start counting them and you'll never end...
