“Some people have the disease of criticising all the time. They forget the good about others and only mention their faults. They are like flies that avoid the good and pure places and land on the bad places and on wounds. This is because of the evil within the self and the spoiled nature.” Ibn Taymiyyah
Ar-Rabi ibn Khuthaym Ath- Thawri was asked why he never criticizes any one. He said "If I am not satisfied with myself how can I talk about others."

ReplyDeleteOn the flip side of the coin such people can be used as a tool for diagnosis of the diseases of the heart. Look critically what they are saying, if it is present rectify it if not then be grateful that you have been saved from such a disease. Have no pain and see such people as a blessing. They are after all making your life more beautiful either by diverting your attention to your flaws or by making you grateful to Allah s.w.t. What more you can ask for Really.
ReplyDeleteThey are also giving you an opportunity to practice your حلم, to make your resolve concrete to become a better person, to be strong.
