'No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future. Go easy on yourself, for the outcome of all affairs is determined by Allah's decree. If something is meant to go elsewhere, it will never come your way, but if it is yours by destiny from you it cannot flee.'
This positive thought gives contentment. JAZAKALLAHU

ReplyDeleteBUT
Continued repentance over the mistakes committed in the past (which itself is a guilt)-is something that helps one in refraining from committing the same mistakes again and again.
It is reported that Abû Al-Dardâ – Allâh be pleased with him – said:
ReplyDeleteYou will never be pious (a person of taqwâ) until you become knowledgeable, and you will never be beautiful with your knowledge until you act [by it].
I do agree with Hassan... Repentance comes only after guilt...
ReplyDeleteSometimes certain sins that we perpetrate end up hurting others or messing things up. And having that past we can still do a lot to mend the situation at present. And if we repent and mend things in the present then every time we reflect on our past we wont feel that guilty. And we should try our best to mend all we can that has been ruined by our wrongs. We cant just tell ourselves to go easy, keep sitting and doing nothing. So with all due respect i dont agree with this part of the statement. Allah doesnt tell us to sin and then go easy. He wants us to not only repent but make amends by fixing all and as much as we can.

ReplyDeleteThis is EXTREMELY wrong thinking because we don't know what we are destined for, therefore, we should always strive for our goals and better future. However, after striving for our goals, we should leave it to Allah to give us the consequences that are better for us because He knows better.
