'Uqbah bin `Amir (radiAllahu 'anhu) said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), "How can salvation be achieved?'' He replied, "Control your tongue, keep to your house, and weep over your sins.''" [Al-Tirmidhi]
As I understand "keep to your house" is,to be in the house most of the time and go out only when needed or for some real purpose.Don't stay out of the house without any reason.
"Controlling your tongue" is so important. Today I attended an event organized for disabled people and met many who were deprived of the blessing of speech. I felt so ashamed in front of Allah (SWT) that we have been given a HUGE blessing (i.e. our ability to speak) that we use day and night to hurt other people and engage in idle talk without even realizing! How will we face Allah?!

ReplyDeleteThanks for explaining, so men are also supposed to stay max at home like women, and not to move out unnecessarily.
